A BESIEGE THAT FAILED

A BESIEGE THAT FAILED What happened in Delhi today was a cold blooded pre meditated #conspiracy. It's naive to say the kisan agitators had no clue and were taken off guard. No sir ! They bloody well had a clue what was coming even if we buy the story they are not  DIRECTLY #responsible. And if they had this intelligence in advance which they very well had, they should have morally canceled today's event least of all, a fully loaded  assurance ( read guarantee) to Delhi Police, which now clearly exposes their #malafied intentions. Equally responsible are Delhi #Police and The Intelligence bureau who completely failed despite a well written possibility of such sensitive violence. What on earth compelled them to grant permission for a "peaceful rally". Democracy gives us a right to express our issues alright but indian constitution is not a fools paradise to allow any #nefarious demands under the pretext of democratic rights. To me, as it were, it sounds ...

WHY PERSONAL BRAND REPUTATION WILL NOW DECIDE YOUR CAREER & BUSINESS.

Whether you know it or not, you have a personal brand. When you Google yourself, what pops up? These results are the first impression people will have of you. Is it a good one? Is the information you are sharing across LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social media sites consistent?  Whether you have a date or a job interview, chances are someone is going to Google you to learn more about who you are. The question is, do you want to allow your online reputation to take on a life of its own or control the narrative? With the proliferation of social media and the gig economy, it has become essential for everyone to embrace personal branding. So   w hat is a personal brand ? Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, is famously quoted as saying, “Your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room.” The term “branding” used to be reserved for businesses, but with the advent of social sites and the gig economy,  personal  branding has become fundamental....

THE FASCINATING FUTURE

In 1998, Kodak had 170,000^ employees and sold 85% of all photo paper worldwide.  Within just a few years, their business model disappeared and they went bankrupt. What happened to Kodak will happen in a lot of industries in the next 10 years - and most people don't see it coming. Did you think in 1998 that 3 years later you would never take pictures on paper film again? Yet digital cameras were invented in 1975. The first ones only had 10,000 pixels, but followed Moore's law. So as with all exponential technologies, it was a disappointment for a long time, before it became way superior and got mainstream in only a few short years. It will now happen with Artificial Intelligence, health, autonomous and electric cars, education, 3D printing, agriculture and jobs. Welcome to the 4th Industrial Revolution. Welcome to^ the Exponential Age. Software will disrupt most traditional industries in^ the next 5-10 years. Uber is just a software tool, they don't own an...

HYPOTHETICAL REPERCUSSIONS OF A NUCLEAR WAR BETWEEN INDIA AND PAKISTAN

By the time Pakistan starts prepping it's nukes everywhere from New Delhi to Washington will know and there will be incredible pressure and even threat of a pre-emptive non-nuclear disabling attack. If the Pakistani's keep going on their path despite all the warnings - India, Russia, Iran, US even China would intervene militarily with pre-emptive conventional strikes using missiles, alternate weapons and special operations teams. If beyond all this incredible opposition, the Pakistani's do manage to launch a nuke against India - by the time the nuke enters the trajectory and starts the ballistic approach - India would have launched a full scale retaliation against Pakistan  as per Indian nuclear doctrine which is simply put : "No First Use of nuclear weapons; any nuclear attack no matter it's magnitude will be met with full retaliation". Then there would be a mad scramble to disable all Pakistani nukes which are in flight - our new anti-ballistic defense sy...

4 Ignition Strategies to Turn Your Passion Into a Paycheck

Several years ago I left my corporate Job as a CEO of my ownown advertising agency to follow my heart and be business consultant .  I had no idea how to make a living doing what I loved or how to turn my passion into a paycheck. The shift in my business was when I stopped focusing on what was going wrong and turned my attention to what was going well. Instead of focusing on how stuck or off track I felt, I rolled up my sleeves and started applying more action steps. The more steps I took, the easier my life became and the faster my business grew. If you feel stuck or off track, instead of comparing yourself to other business owners or feeling sorry for yourself, take daily action. Flash forward to today: I am living my ideal life, running a very successful business as a international business coach, speaker and an author. The key to my success is the daily action. The questions I get asked most start with the word “how”: How did you leave your job in corporate to be...

50 Thoughts That Can Motivate You to Do Anything..

1. I can do anything. It’s a simple phrase, but it helps to remind yourself -- you really can do anything you set your mind to. 2. This is why I can. Instead of giving yourself reasons why you can’t do something, give yourself reasons why you can. 3. I deserve more. You deserve a better life -- whether that means a better job, a healthier body or more money. Work for it. 4. It’s never too late. No matter how old you are or how many opportunities you’ve passed up before, it’s never too late to make a decision and get a fresh start. 5. There will always be challenges. No matter what you do in life, there will always be challenges -- don’t let one set get the better of you. 6. There’s no "perfect" time. If you’re waiting for the perfect moment, forget about it -- there’s no such thing. 7. There’s no perfect plan. There are some definite flaws in your plan -- but there are in every plan. 8. Everybody starts somewhere. Nobody...

KEEP IT SIMPLE SWEATHERT

Avoid micro-management at all costs "I recently flipped through the declassified 'Simple Sabotage Field Manual', published in 1944 by the US Office of Strategic Services, the predecessor to the CIA. It lists numerous strategies that saboteurs in business environments can use to derail progress. Surprisingly, many of those tactics are being used in offices around the world today! "For instance, the manual instructs saboteurs who have infiltrated organisations to "insist on doing everything through channels. Never permit short-cuts to be taken in order to expedite decisions". "It also advocates for being extra cautious and advises that every decision be referred to committees. Managers are advised to "Multiply the procedures and clearances involved in issuing instructions... See that three people have to approve everything where one would do." These instructions might sound outdated, but they’re timeless. 2. Make your ideas fit on the back ...

BRAND MANTRA

Find out what schismogenesis means (because it will save your relationships).  Brands are fragile. They are subject to the laws ofschismogenesis. This is a term from anthropology. It means that relationships are not stable. Brands work according to the same law. Brands are always moving—up, up, up or down, down, down. But once the dark winds are in your sails, it is almost impossible to break their hold. Think cadburies, #Maggi, or Pantaloons . How do you know where your brand is headed—up or down? Learn how to use quantitative metrics, such as BCG’s Brand Advocacy Index, which records your percentage of supporters and critics. Track them like the third leg of your P&L—revenues and profits, share of the properly defined universe, and advocacy. If you are not improving, you are in decline.
